Aberdovey

This championship golf course is 6,500 yards long offering golfers of all standards a challenging test. It has hosted the Senior Ladies Open and the Ladies Home International and is home of the Welsh Golf Union (men's) Senior Championship.

Set amongst the beautiful scenery of Snowdonia National Park you will find the most superb championship links course. Golf was first played at Aberdovey in 1886 and the links have been developed into one of the finest courses in Wales. The club is situated at the mouth of the Dovey Estuary and nestles between the Cambrian Mountain range and the coastal dunes of Aberdovey Beach.

How to find it
From the Midlands take the M54 to Shrewsbury. From the Shrewsbury ring road, follow the A458 west to Welshpool, Machynlleth and then the A493 coastal road to Aberdovey.
From Northern Wales take the A493 southbound following the coast.
The clubhouse is 1/4 mile west of Aberdovey village, near to the Railway Station.

Facilities

Clubhouse
joy a drink or a meal in the luxurious upstairs bar and dining rooms. If the weather is fine then why not relax on the balcony and enjoy the panoramic views across the course?
A wide range of spirits, wines and beers are available including traditional beers.
Although children are not permitted in the bar, families may relax in the dining and lounge areas aEnnd there is a TV room adjacent to the bar where children are allowed with an adult.
The resident caterers offer a delicious range of home cooked food to suit all tastes. It is advisable to book in advance particularly in the high season.

Professional Shop
A fully stocked shop offering quality golf wear, equipment and accessories from all the leading manufacturers.

The club professional, Joe Davies, offers advice and instruction, club alterations and repairs at competitive rates. Trolleys and buggies are available for hire subject.

Practice Area
Putting green, nets, bunkers and pitching green are situated in front of the clubhouse. There is also a practice driving area.

Locker Rooms
The luxurious locker rooms offers a drying room, washing and shower facilities.

Snooker Room
A full-sized snooker table is available to all visitors on the ground floor although we request that young children be accompanied by an adult.
