Slaley
Hall - NORTHUMBERLAND
De Vere Slaley Hall crowns a once harsh and rugged terrain. The Tyne
Valley, a region shaped as much by the English sword as the elements,
is the setting for the Edwardian Country House that is now Slaley
Hall. Set amongst 1,000 acres of beautiful Northumbrian forest and
moorland, De Vere Slaley Hall is a golfers paradise.
Most of our guests make straight for the two Championship standard
golf courses. It's not hard to see why. Not only is our Northumbrian
setting incredibly stunning, but the quality of both courses is of
the highest standard.
The Hunting Championship Course is venue for the Great North Open
and is noted for its spectacular fairways and tree lined avenues.
Set against a backdrop of lakes and woodland, this course does not
disappoint. Many of the world's leading professionals have played
and praised The Hunting.
Alternatively, you could try the Priestman Course, venue for The De
Vere Northumberland Seniors Classic. This has also been designed to
Championship standard and offers you fantastic views over the beautiful
Tyne Valley, designed on more open terrain this course includes lakes
and ponds in strategic positions.
With two Championship courses to play, you can spend a truly memorable
afternoon with friends – following in the footsteps of champions.
Keep out of the rough on the 4th though as the grouse aren't keen
on being disturbed.
Off the green you'll notice the hotel has a distinctive style of its
own, wood panelled drawing rooms hang heavy with the scent of wax
and lilies and passages are lit by chainmail torches. This unique
character is complemented by our excellent cuisine, comfortable accommodation
and a level of service you would naturally expect from such a prestigious
retreat. Many greats from the world of golf have pitted their skills
against each other at De Vere Slaley Hall. Now it's your turn to come
and experience for yourself exactly why it has become such an established
international golfing venue. |
